Vedanta, which literally means the ‘end-part of the Vedas’, is the crown and the zenith of the teachings of the Vedas, whose content is Advaita or non-duality. With an intention to make the profound teachings of this non-dual Darshana to reach one and all using the technological advances of the current age, Sri. Hari Kiran Vadlamani had founded Advaita Academy as an online-platform in 2010 during the auspicious festival of Deepavali.
As we complete 9 years, it is our pleasure to share that over the years Advaita Academy has emerged as the ‘go-to’ place for learning authentic Advaita Vedanta from teachers traditionally trained in the Advaita Vedanta Sampradaya.
Advaita Academy is a multi-lingual platform with lectures in English, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil. Over the last nine years we have extensively covered various major and minor Upanishads, classical texts like Bhagavad Gita and Valmiki Ramayana; important Vedantic texts like Dakshinamurthystotram, Vivekachudamani, and Panchadashi, to name a few.
In 2019, we started many important and interesting lecture series like Vishuddha Vedanta Sara of Sri Satchidanandendra Saraswathi Swamiji of Holenarasipura, Vivekachudamani with the commentary of Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji of Sringeri Peetham, Vedanta Sangraha of Ramaraya Kavi, to name a few.
As of today, we have published 7528 videos from 46 teachers. Of these, we have published around 800 videos and collaborated with 9 new teachers this year.
In total, our videos have attracted around 3.4 million views, 29 million watch time minutes and 28437 subscribers on YouTube. In 2019 alone, they have attracted a little more than half a million views, 5.2 million watch-time minutes, and around 5000 subscribers.
