Indic Academy Scholarship support to Kavikulaguru Kalidasa Sanskrit University

Indic Academy is happy to announce their scholarship support to Kavikulaguru Kalidasa Sanskrit University students for courses, internships, workshops & seminars.

Before 1997 Maharashtra state had no Sanskrit University. Post the extended efforts of experts and support of former Prime Minister of India, Hon’ble Shri P.V. Narasimha Rao, who is a great scholar of Sanskrit himself, Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University (KKSU) was established in 1997 in Ramtek, Maharashtra. The place Ramtek, which is a township in Nagpur district, was selected because it is connected to the name of great poet of the world Kavikulaguru Kalidas.

KKSU is an institution dedicated to the advanced learning of Sanskrit and provides coursework in Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), Master of Arts (M.A.), Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.), and a Ph.D. degree.

Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University is unique in nature in that it has innovative academic program and syllabus which focuses on a modern approach to the Sanskrit language as compared to all other Sanskrit Universities. The other Sanskrit Universities cater for traditional learning in Sanskrit like Veda, Vedanta, Vyakarana, Nyaya, Mimamsa Dharmashastra and Sahitya etc. Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University has innovative academic programme and syllabus having modern subjects associated with traditional Sanskrit. On one hand, the courses emphasize on modernity and on the other hand they strive to preserve traditionality. All the courses of K.K. Sanskrit University are consultancy-oriented. The University has special emphasis on Science and Technology in ancient India as preserved in the Sanskrit texts.
