Annual Summary of Indic Book Launches & Promotions– 2017-18

Indic Academy announced the launch of 14 books in the year 2017-18 and hosted twenty one book launch events across fifteen regions.

May

Indica New Delhi hosted the book launch of Dr Meenakshi Jain’s book “The Battle for Rama” at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi on 2nd May 2017. Prominent economist, politician and scholar Dr Subramanian Swamy was the Chief Guest at the book launch. Shri KN Dixit, doyen archaeologist and former Director-General of the Archaeological Society of India (ASI) and eminent author & social activist Madhu Kishwar also graced the book launch event as the Guest of Honour and Special Guest, respectively.

 

On the 27th of May, Indica Chennai organised the book launch of “Inside Chanakya’s Mind – Aanvikshiki and the Art of Thinking” authored by Dr Radhakrishna Pillai. The Chief Guest at the book launch event was Srinivasan K Swamy, the Chairman of RK Swamy Hansa Group. The Guest of Honour at the event was Badri Seshadri, the MD of New Horizon Media. The book launch event was held at the CPR Convention Centre in Alwarpet, Chennai. 

June

Indica Bengaluru hosted the launch of Dr Radhakrishnan Pillai’s book “Inside Chanakya’s Mind” on the 11th June 2017 at the TERI Auditorium in the presence of Chief Guest, Sri Mohandas Pai. The book launch was followed by a short talk by the author and an interactive Q & A with the audience.

July

In the month of July, Indic Academy announced the launch of 4 books across 3 regions.

Indica New Delhi hosted the launch of the books “Soul Call of Love and More” by Dimple Kaul and “Oh My Gods” by Manish Jaitly on 9th July 2017. The book launch event was held at the India Habitat Center and was graced by Chief Guests Lieutenant General Syed Ata Hasnain and Prof Makarand Paranjpe. The books launch was followed by a talk by both the authors and chief guest.

On 23rd July 2017, Indica Pune hosted the launch of the book “The Dark Road” authored by Mayuresh Didolkar. Eminent filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri was the Chief Guest  at the event which was held at the Sumant Moolgaokar Auditorium in Pune and was followed by a talk by the Chief Guest and the author.

On 29th July 2017, Indica Coimbatore hosted the book launch of “Semmanthaka” authored by Dr Syd K. The event was held at the Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts & Science in the presence of Chief Guests Mrs Swati Rohit who is founder of SeekSia.com, historian and author Rajesh Govindarajulu and Dr P Kanagasabapathi, who is a renowned academician, author and socail worker.

August

In the month of August, Indica New Delhi hosted the twin book launches of Manoshi Sinha’s Blue Vanquisher – Krishn Trilogy-2 and Shruti Bakshi’s From Dior to Dharma, on 31 August at Gulmohar Hall, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The occasion was marked by the presence of two remarkable, brave, powerful and inspiring thinkers and doers of our times who have redefined dharma, inner strength and commitment to Bharat – Major General G D Bakshi, who presided over the book launch as chief guest, and Olympian and world-renowned wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt, as guest of honour.

October

In the month of October, Indic Academy hosted the book launch of two books.

Indica Singapore organised the book launch of “The Educational Heritage of Ancient India” by Sahana Singh on 4th October 2017. The launch of the book was followed by a talk on the “Lost Indic Heritage” by author Sahana singh, Prof Makarand Paranjpe and Anuraag Saxena.

On 24th October, Indica Coimbatore hosted the launch of “Why India is Immortal” by Amish Tripathi. The book launch was held at the SNR Sons College and was followed by a talk by the bestselling author to a packed audience of 1000+ exuberant crowd.

November

In the month of November, Indic Academy hosted the launch of  “Being Hindu” by Hindol Sengupta in the USA and the launch of the book “The Friendless God” by S Anuradha in Mumbai.

On 5th November 2017, Indica New Jersey organised the book launch of Hindol Sengupta’s book “Being Hindu” at the Jivamukti Yoga Centre. The book launch was followed by an interesting talk by Hindol Sengupta.

Indica Virginia launched the book “Being Hindu” by Hindol Sengupta on the 18th November at the George Mason University.

On 25th November, Indica Mumbai organised the launch of S Anuradha’s book “The Friendless God” at the Mumbai Press Club. The chief guest at the event was Latha Venkatesh, the executive editor of CNBC TV18.

December

In the month of December, Indica Illinois organised a talk and book launch of Hindol Sengupta’s book “Being Hindu” on 2nd December. His talk on “Who is Afraid of Being Hindu” was followed by an interactive Q&A with the audience.

February

In the month of February, Indic Academy hosted the 5 book launches.

Indica Houston organised the book launch of bestselling author Amish Tripathi’s book “Immortal India” on 6th February. The event was held at the University of Houston and was followed by an enlightening talk on “Immortal India – Why our culture survived, the only major ancient culture which is still alive today.”

 

On 7th February, Indica New York organised the talk and book launch of “Immortal India” by Amish Tripathi. The event was organised at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, which was followed by the book signing and sale.

On 8th February, Indica Washington hosted the launch of Amish Tripathi’s book “Immortal Indians” at the Embassy of India on 8th February. The book launch was followed by a talk on “Immortal India – Why our culture survived, the only major ancient culture which is still alive today.”

Indica Singapore hosted the launch of author S Anuradha’s book “The Friendless God” on 10th February at the National Library. The Chief Guest of the event was Dr Chitra Sankaran, Ass Prof in the Dept of English Language and Literature at National University, Singapore. The book launch was followed by a talk by S Anuradha, Dr Chitra Sankaran and an interactive Q&A with the audience.

On 18th February, Indica Hyderabad organised the book launch and talk of “The Friendless God” by S Anuradha on 18th February at Saptaparni. The chief guest of the event was Sriram Karri, the author of the book “Autobiography of a Mad Nation”.

March

On 3rd March, Indica New Delhi hosted the launch of the book “The Last Queen of Kashmir” by Rakesh Kaul. The event was held at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and was followed by an interactive talk between prominent Kashmiri social activist Sushil Pandit and author Rakesh Kaul.

Indica San Jose organised the book launch of “Being Hindu” by Hindol Sengupta on 3rd March, which was followed by a talk and interactive Q&A with the audience.

On 25th March, Indica New Delhi hosted the launch of the Hindi book “Jiwan Ka Ganit – Poetry Collection” by Abhinav Shankar Anikul at JNU Convention Centre.
