Updates And Additions To The Indic Today Team

It has been two and a half years since Indic Today was started. The idea to start Indic Today came about sometime after the Indic Art Festival held at Goa in December 2017. It was felt a platform was needed to push the activities and reports of events of Indic Academy as the number of City Chapters, scholarships provided and events being held was increasing.

Thus, Indic Today was established to showcase the events and activities of Indic Academy, promote Indic authors and thought leaders through writings and audio-visual mediums, and publish well researched academic and semi-academic essays on Indic Civilisation thereby staying true to the tagline of Indic Academy of preserve and promote.

Established in April 2018 Indic Today has grown extensively today with a total of over 1200+ posts and an Indic Today Author group of about 275 authors. We have published well-known authors such as Prof. Subhash Kak, Prof. Ramesh Rao, Prof. M. D. Srinivas but our star performer is a young 14-year-old author Ms. Ananya whose fictional stories of Mahabharata are appreciated by everyone.

In the last six months, we have added 50+ authors to the Indic Author group. Some notable authors, whose books reached the Amazon Best Seller List, such as Aneesh Gokhale, Ratul Chakraborty, Vijender Sharma have acknowledged the support provided by Indic Today in promoting their books across all our social media channels as well as through interviews, webinars, and review of their book. We are humbled by their acknowledgment and look forward to promoting more Indic authors.

Our semi-academic pieces through Quick Reads and academic research pieces in Long Reads and Research Paper sections are highly appreciated by our readers. In June 2020 we carried out a Feedback Survey from our readers in which more than 60% of readers gave us a rating between 8 to 10. We received positive feedback on the content especially on the various Series we have published from time to time.

We are also announcing a regular Hindi and Kannada section to the website. In the past few months, we tested publishing in Hindi and received an overwhelming response. Based on the same we plan to increase Hindi publications with a dedicated day for it. From Navratri onwards, we will also be publishing in the Kannada language.

Building on this tempo we are announcing the following additions to our Advisory Board and our Consulting Editorial Board.
